A few days ago, SEMARNAT and COFEPRIS announced the dirtiest beaches in Mexico. In its study, COFEPRIS revealed the beaches with the highest levels of pollution on Mexican coasts and those with the most fecal waste in their waters. It was found that several almost exceeded the limits allowed by sanitary regulations, which are 200 enterococci (Enterococcus faecalis) per 100 milliliters.
The following are the cleanest beaches in Mexico.

The World Health Organization dictates that if 200 streptococci and fecal enterococci are found per 100 milliliters of water, the site should be declared “unfit” for human habitation, as they can cause them to contract acute gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases.
