At least seven hurricanes forcasted in the Atlantic for 2019

MÉRIDA Yucatán.Colorado State University in the United States issued a first version of the 2019 hurricane season forecast for the Atlantic, specifically covering the northern region, the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico.

According to Civil Protection Mérida, this forecast indicates that a total of 13 named tropical systems will be formed, of which 6 will be storms only and seven will reach the category of hurricanes.
The same forecast also indicates that of these seven, around five phenomena will remain between categories 1-2 while only a couple of hurricanes will reach a category greater than 3.
The report notes that these forecasts are revised month by month, so the number of hurricanes projected could change next time.

High Temperatures expected
For the time being, according to the forecast, the high pressure system will continue to dominate the region this Thursday, which is why very hot temperatures are expected in a large part of the Yucatan Peninsula, CONAGUA reports .
For this day, maximum temperatures of between 34°C and 38°C are predicted in Yucatan, while for Merida they are estimated at between 36°C and 38°C. Most clear sky conditions are expected.

We remind the population that the period of greatest solar radiation is between 1200 and 1600 hours of the day, so it is recommended to take the necessary precautions.
