Sonora.- Authorities in Nogales, Sonora found a tunnel located in Colonia Fundo Legal, that went all the way across the international border between Mexico and the U.S., into a storm sewer on the American side, in the city of Nogales, Arizona.
Mexican law enforcement agents discovered the hand made tunnel entrance in Nogales, Sonora, and the Agent of the Public Prosecutor’s Office immediately informed the United States authorities, which sent Border Patrol officers to enter the tunnel from the American side, which presented three cavities, big enough to fit human size.
It was reported that the tunnel was 5 meters long and that shovels, handsaws and powertools were found inside.
No arrests have been made so far in relation with this finding.
