“Nicolás Maduro’s days are numbered” – John Bolton U.S. National Security Advisor

U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton said the days of the government of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro “are numbered.
This was published on Twitter after meeting with Brazilian Defense Minister Fernando Azevedo, where the U.S. official stressed that “the region is united.

Venezuelan crisis hits
Bolton’s statement comes just over two months after the Venezuelan political crisis worsened, after the leader of the opposition National Assembly, Juan Guaidó, was sworn in as president in charge of Venezuela on January 23, after ignoring the May 2018 votes in which Maduro was re-elected as president.

The U.S. government was the first to recognize and support Guaidó as “interim president” of Venezuela, then joined some 50 countries, which since then require the departure of Maduro.
