From March 24 to 30, the First National Week of Vaccination of Dogs and Cats 2019 will take place in the Yucatan, as part of the prevention that will seek to interrupt the transmission of this disease through the inoculation of domestic animals.
The application will be carried out through the installation of posts and volunteers will be going from house to house, with the help of government and private institutions, as well as members of the community.
With the aim of preventing and controlling diseases and sanitary specifications at dog care centers, related to the Guide for the Control of Rabies in companion animals.
The scheme will be deployed in the 106 municipalities of Yucatan, so more than 381 thousand doses will be used, that is, 80 percent of the annual goal, which is 414, 794.
The opening ceremony will be held at the municipal palace of Bokobá, next Saturday 23 at 10:00 AM.
