Two men sentenced to 15 years in prison for homicide in Nueva San José Tecoh

In a hearing in which suspects M.J.E.P. and J.F.T.V. were declared criminally responsible for the crime of homicide, the Second Judge of Control of the First Judicial District sentenced them to 15 years in prison and to the payment of compensation for the damage, as part of the sentence they will have to purge for the killing of a person in Colonia Nueva San José Tecoh, southern Mérida.

After the consent of both parties, the General Prosecutor’s Office (FGE) requested the summary trial procedure and, after considering that the evidence had the necessary elements to demonstrate the probable participation of the suspects in the crime, the judicial authority issued the condemnatory decision.

The deceased was attacked by the suspects on Calle 153 (between 60 and 62) of the aforementioned neighborhood. And based on evidence presented on the criminal case 64/2018, they stabbed the vicitim several times, which resulted in an acute post-hemorrhagic anemia secondary to perforation of cardiac viscus, and death.

In the same proceeding, the Control Judge pronounced M.J.E.P. and J.F.T.V. guilty of murder in the first degree.
