Valladolid registers over 90% hotel occupancy during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday season

Hotels in Valladolid, Yucatán closed the year 2018 with an occupation of 90 to 100%.

Employees of hotels “La Aurora”, “El Mesón del Marqués” and “María de la Luz” reported that between 90 and 100% of the rooms were occupied during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday season, and that the majority of the guests were tourists from the United States, Spain , France, Canada and other countries.

“We have always had between 65 and 85%, occupation during this season, but this time we had the best year ever,” says Gloria Aguilar Alcocer, receptionist at “La Aurora” hotel .

An employee of “El Mesón del Marqués“, in turn, declared that the occupation during this holiday season almost reached 100%, and that they have a good number of reservations for the first two months of the year.

Smaller hotels, such as “Zací” or “La Terminal”, also reported an ocuupation of 90%.

“Almost all our clients are Mexican nationals, since most foreigners prefer bigger hotels,” said Monserrat Aguilar, an employee at “Hotel Zací”.
