PCC Airfoils to invest 300 million pesos in new Yucatan plant

PCC Airfoils manufactures complex highly technical investment castings for turbine engine applications used in commercial jet engines, military jet engines, helicopters and industrial gas turbines.

The growth that the company is experiencing has resulted in the construction of a new plant in Yucatán for the manufacture of aircraft parts, which will allow the creation of 1.600 new jobs.

The American firm is one of the 7 local, national and foreign companies that will invest in the next months in Yucatan 5,542,000 of pesos and that together will create more than 10,570 new direct and better paid jobs, as well as 34,700 indirect jobs, in different municipalities throughout the state.

The works are on going to build the new factory that will expand its production capacity and give way to a smelting complex of nickel base and ceramic cores of 18.400 square meters, That in addition to the 1.600 new working spaces that will also contribute to generate over 3.000 indirect jobs. In total, the investment will be of 300 million pesos (15.4 million USD).

Mauricio Vila Dosal said that one of the main actions the administration is trying to combat is social deprivation by creating new jobs and better paychecks, so he reiterated that they will continue working to generate conditions that will allow more investment and continuos growth for the Yucatan.

During his visit, the governor was able to greet and chat with some of the local workers, who expressed to him the importance of having a formal job that would allow them to guarantee a better lifestyle for their families, as well as a steady economic income to meet their social needs and benefits.
