Owner of Grupo Soriana found executed in Torreón, Coahuila

Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico.-On Friday January 18th, inside his truck and with a gunshot to the head was found the corpse of Carlos Eduardo Martín Bringas, owner of Grupo Soriana.

According to El Horizonte, the events were reported at 12 noon this Friday Jan. 18. The businessman’s vehicle was located on the San Pedro Boulevard towards the town of Mieleras in the Industrial Park of Torreón, Coahuila.

The owner of the chain of supermarkets located in different states throughout the country, was part of the board of directors of Tiendas Soriana SA de CV and Organización Soriana SAB de CV.

Soriana is a Mexican chain of supermarkets and warehouses, founded in 1968 by brothers Francisco and Armando Martín Borque in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico. The chain only operates in Mexico.
