Human remains found in Periférico de Mérida

Human remains were found in the bush, at the spot located on kilometer 10.3 of the Periferico de Mérida, between the Calle 42 bridge and the Xmatkuil bridge.

The finding was made by employees of the Institute of Highway Infrastructure of Yucatán (Instituto de Infraestructura Carretera de Yucatán: Incay), who were working breaking ground at the spot for road rehabilitation works.

Personnel of the Office of the Public Prosecutor and of the State Investigating Police, homicide department, as well as SEMEFO forensics staff went to the place to conduct the corresponding investigations.

According to the versions a part of the bones were found inside a plastic bag.
