TIXKOKOB.- A drug dealer was arrested on Monday Jan. 21 at dawn. The suspect, who is well known member of the local LGBT community, transvestite and “party decorator”, apparently was using this job as a “screen” to distribute illegal substances, according to the police reports.
Jorge Huchim Balam, 31 years old and originally from the Euán community, was caught with drugs, money and a motorcycle, after residents of Tixkokob reported to the Municipal Police, loud noise in the suspect’s back yard at 3:30 in the morning.
Police officers came to the suspect’s address, saw an Italika motorcycle license plates KYA-4-S parked in front of the house, and then the suspect in orange sweatshirt and gray pants emerged from a field.
When questioning him, the man fell into contradictions. When searched, he was found in possession of $ 5,000 pesos in cash, 2 cell phones, 1.5 kilos of marijuana, one bag containing the drug known as “crystal” and two other bags containing “crack cocaine.”
Huchim Balam, better known as “Gloria Huchim“, was dedicated to the decoration of nightclubs, a “screen” he used to distribute drugs in the municipality of Tixkokob. His legal situation is still to be determined by local authorities.
