Vendors of the municipal bazaar of Valladolid indicated that they’ve had good sales, especialy with foreign tourists, which had visitied the city in large number during the month of December.
One of the tenants of the municipal bazaar said that in these first weeks of the month there have been increases in sales, especially on the weekends.
“In these last two weekends we have seen that more tourists come to visit us and consume our food, especially they have asked for “sopa de lima” and other hot dishes, during the cold season,” he added.
On the other hand, Ángela González, originally from Veracruz, who visited the city with her family, said that the choice to visit the bazaar was mainly due to the recommendations of the local residents.
“As it is the first time we come to Valladolid, we asked the local people where to eat authentic Yucatecan food for a decent price, and they sent us here… the truth is that the food is great, and the place is very comfortable place to eat with all the family. In future visits we will definitely return to the bazaar”.
Finally, the other tenants of the bazaar commented that they expect the rest of the month to be even better in terms of sales.
