Three Holland America ships will sail to Mexico in 2019

Three Holland America Line ships will sail a total of 22 cruises along the Mexican Riviera between January and December 2019.

Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam and Oosterdam will sail a series of seven- and 11-day cruises roundtrip from San Diego in California. All itineraries will include calls at the Mexican ports of Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán.

Guests will also be able to get a taste of Mexico’s history, culture and cuisine onboard their vessel via Holland America’s signature Explorations Central (EXC) programme. As part of this, guests will be able to enjoy performances from a traditional mariachi band, attend an EXC Talk to learn more about the country, try Mexican dishes and Mexican liquors in various onboard bars and dining venues, and head to America’s Test Kitchen for a cooking demonstration or class featuring local fare. In addition, the onboard flowers will be from Mexico and the in-stateroom EXC Channel will feature a selection of curated films, documentaries and TV shows exploring destinations on the ship’s itinerary.

“Mexico cruises are among our most popular because they are perfect for a traveller who wants both a sun and beach filled itinerary along with a culturally rich destination wrapped into one vacation,” said Orlando Ashford, president of Holland America Line. “By featuring up to three Mexican ports of call on one itinerary, our cruises offer a deeply comprehensive and immersive opportunity to become connected to the people and traditions of Mexico.”
