Grand Costa Maya promoted at the International Travel Fair WTM

On the second day of activities of the International Travel Fair World Travel Market (WTM) in London, England Quintana Roo’s Tourism Secretary Marisol Vanegas Pérez highlighted the presence of the European market of the Gran Costa Maya resort, that has raise great expectations among the attendees.

It is a product that attracts much attention. The Archaeology Routes of the South of Quintana Roo and the Caste War Route are a novelty that has arise great interest. The Tourism Promotion Council of Quintana Roo (CPTQ) led by Darío Flota and his working team have held a significant number of business meetings here in London, and Southern Quintana Roo is being promoted with great success.

To strengthen cooperation ties with operators and wholesalers, the Quintana Roo delegation has participated in several meetings, nad has provided assistance to the launch of the “Casa de la Playa” hotel, that belongs to Grupo Xcaret which operates in the Riviera Maya and has been part of the annual reception of the World Travel Tourism Council (WTTC).

In London, the head of SEDETUR highlighted the prospects of tourism in Quintana Roo for the coming months as encouraging. In fact, during the month of October, the Cancun airport has shown a growth of 9.5% in passenger volume, and the Cozumel airport 15.8 %.

“In conjunction with the Private Initiative, the Government of Quintana Roo works to maintain the level of certainty and confidence in the investment, which in turn translates into more and better sources of employment for the population”, Quintana Roo’s Tourism Secretary Marisol Vanegas Pérez concluded.
