Hanal Pixan Altar at Mérida English Library

Last year was the first year that MEL did an altar for Hanal Pixan. They put photos of some great writers and friends of the library who have passed away. They will be doing another altar this week at the library, come and see it!

MEL invites all members of the Ex-pat community to bring photos of loved ones who have died to put on their altar.

It is a nice way to remember friends and family who are no longer with us and join in the festivities of Hanal Pixan. Just bring your photo anytime during MEL’s regular hours.

If you don’t know much about Hanal Pixan, check out this article from the Yucatan Times about celebrating this holiday in Merida.
