New air route Merida-Villahermosa

Viva Aerobus, Mexico’s ultra-low-cost airline, with accessible air connectivity to different parts of the country, announced its new Mérida-Villahermosa route. Tickets for this new route, which starts operations on December 15 with 2 flights a week (Tuesday and Saturday), are already on sale from $ 698 pesos (one way).

With this launch, the Viva Aerobus increases its number of destinations offered from Merida, with a total of six: Monterrey, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Veracruz, Tuxtla Gutiérrez and now Villahermosa.

In this sense, and as part of its commitment to the state of Yucatán, the airline has increased by 24% the number of seats from / to the Mérida International Airport between January and August, in contrast to the same period of 2017. And for this new route, the airline will be offering more than 35,000 seats in the first year of operations.

And flying out of Villahermosa International Airport, the air carrier offers 6 destinations: Tampico, Monterrey, Mexico City, Cancun, Guadalajara and now Mérida.

In an effort to promote the development of the region through air connectivity, Viva Aerobus is characterized by the most competitive prices.

Additionally, in line with its expansion strategy, the airline celebrated the recent arrival of its new Airbus A320neo, which will support the operation of the routes launched. In this way, Viva Aerobus’ fleet is already composed of 27 aircraft: 22 Airbus A320ceo and 5 Airbus A320neo.-
