The immediate and effective response by Yucatán’s SSP law enforcement authorities was highlighted as they capture the Chicxulub Puerto murderers, two hours after they committed the homicide.
Javier Humberto Franco Hernández, the owner of a well-known restaurant in Chicxulub Puerto was shot and killed on Sunday, September 23, around noon, by individuals who attacked him inside the premises.
Two subjects arrived on a motorcycle, entered through the back door of the restaurant and shot the owner.
The Ina Beach restaurant is located on the corner of Calle 17 with Calle 20, in Chicxulub Puerto, near the fishing pier.
The crime was committed before the astonished gaze of several customers, who were shocked but could not do anything and just saw how the criminals fled the scene on a motorcycle.
However, the effective operative implemented by the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) allowed the quick capture of four individuals, who were identified as the responsibles for the murder with firearm of Javier Humberto Franco Hernández inside his Chicxulub Puerto restaurant.
Upon receiving the report of the violent acts, the SSP immediately activated the corresponding protocols with an alert to all units and three security rings in ports, the center of the state and state lines.
The police corporations of the surrounding municipalities were also alerted and responded with agility and efficiency to establish security perimeters.
The capture of the alleged criminals was achieved at the control post of the SSP on the Mérida-Valladolid highway two, near Hacienda Teya. The suspects were fully identified by customers who witnessed the murder.
The suspects, three men and one woman, were traveling in a Nissan truck with Mexico City license plates, and were found in possession of two firearms.
The vicitm had been living in Yucatan for only five months, and he was originally from the state of Quintana Roo, according to his wife. Finally, Yucatán’s SSP reported that the alleged murderers were from Veracruz and Quintana Roo.
