Assailants captured by Yucatan Police in Valladolid

MÉRIDA, Yucatán.- Shortly after they stormed a pharmacy in the city of Valladolid, three individuals were detained by the Yucatan State Police when as they were trying to flee to the neighboring state of Quintana Roo.

According to a bulletin issued by the agency, two men and one woman, fully identified by the employees of the pharmacy, were captured aboard a car with Quintana Roo license plates. A four-year old child was traveling with them.

The timely 911 emergency report made by the employees of the pharmacy, located on Calle 27 of Valladolid’s Fernando Novelo neighborhood, allowed the implementation of an effective police operation, which resulted in the prompt capture of the alleged assailants.

The subjects were secured with cash as well as the weapon with which they presumably committed the robbery.

The Ministry of Public Security SSP placed them under custody of the ministerial authorities.
