Visit the Museum of the City of Mérida

The Museum of the City of Mérida is one of the options to visit with the family and get to know different art manifestations, such as the exhibition “Artists with color and for childhood”, which will be inaugurated on Saturday July 7 at 11 a.m on the ground floor and gallery.

The exhibition is in charge of the students of the Workshop of Fine Arts, by the artist Gemma Ruiz Espinosa, and includes 90 pieces, including acrylics and oils.

The works cover topics such as nature, flowers, fruits, still lifes and landscapes, in which children’s talent and sensibility for art are observed with the guidance of their Spanish teacher and mentor.

“Artists with color and childhood” will remain open to the public for one month.

More exhibitions

The Museum of the City has more options for the visitor, like the Piece of the Month, with objects of the poet Raúl Renán, which will continue for two more weeks.

The new Piece of the Month will be “Majestic Trees”, to be inaugurated on Wednesday, July 18 at 11 a.m.

The exhibitions “Victims of fashion”, by Jovian, and “Huellas”, by Darío Ortiz, with unpublished pieces of sculpture, painting and prints of an academic nature are also open. Both in the rooms of the first floor of the museum and will remain on display for ninety more days.

The Museum of the City opens from Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. at 6 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9 a.m. at 2 p.m.

The Museum of the City is located on Calle 56, number 529-A, (between 65 and 65), Centro.
