

According to Mexican news agency Notimex, 64 percent of Mexican businessmen support the proposal of the virtual winner of the presidential election, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to reduce salaries to officials, revealed a study by Vestiga Consultores.
The consulting firm said that analyzing the position of Mexican businessmen on some proposals made by AMLO found that a high percentage approve the reduction of salaries of high officials, with 64 percent, as well as the cuts of trusted personnel, with 68 percent.
Regarding the proposal of government-private investment programs for young people who do not study or work (Ninis), 48 percent said they were in favor; and on the decentralization of the Ministries of State, 43 percent; while in the one to make a consultation to decide the future of the new airport only 19 percent.
The survey also showed that 25 percent are in favor of the sale of government aircraft, 22 percent at the closure of Los Pinos, 67 percent on new tourist trains from the southeast, 83 percent agree on the Bank of Mexico’s autonomy and on federal coordination in the states 43 percent.
The Mexican company stated that for the National Study of Impact Factors in Companies, it was interviewed by telephone to shareholders and CEOs of 647 small, medium and large companies in Mexico.
In a statement, it indicated that the sample frame for the selection of the model was the National Statistical Directory of Economic Units (DENUE, for its acronym in Spanish) of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI, for its acronym in Spanish), with data updated to 2015.
