“Logos Hope” arrives to Progreso on July 11

On Wednesday, July 11, from the port of Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, will arrive the “Logos Hope”, the largest and only floating library in the world, which will be docked at the ferry terminal of Progreso, Yucatán.

The details to visit the “Logos Hope” will be announced today at 10 a.m. in the offices of the Integral Port Administration (API), as well as the time of arrival and reception that will be given by the state, municipal, maritime, naval and port authorities.

The “Logos Hope” concludes in this city a tour of several ports across the Americas. It arrived on Coatzacoalcos on June 28, where the ship stayed for 10 days and set sail for this port, where visits to the largest floating library in the world will be scheduled. Access will be free and at certain times.

The library ship sails for two main reasons:

  • One: To promote unity in the diversity and peace of different countries and culture.
  • Two: To facilitate accessibility to literature and culture.

The customs agency of Jorge Baqueiro Baqueiro is in charge of the reception of the library, of the procedures for its arrival at the remote terminal and everything related to the maneuvers and maritime procedures.
