More than 3,000 houses were offered during Housing Fair in Mérida

With an offer of 3,000 houses which prices ranging from 300,000 to 1,500,000 pesos, the second Merida’s Housing Fair was held from June 1 to 3, organized by the National Chamber of the Development Industry and Promotion of Housing (Canadevi).

The event, which took place at the Yucatán Siglo XXI Convention Center, involved more than 20 companies and more than 30 housing developments located mainly in Merida and its so-called “metropolitan area”, informed the president of the organization, Armando Valencia Castillo, who estimated the assistance of 7,000 people during the three-day event.

There were also options to buy houses in other cities within the state of Yucatan, in municipalities such as Valladolid, Progreso or Tizimin among others.

He explained that the event was thought for all those people looking for a house, with the Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit), the Housing Fund of the Issste (Fovissste) or any bank mortgage credit where they were able to find diverse housing projects, at different prices, locations and financing methods in one place.

Valencia Castillo added that through the “Housing to Prosper” (Vivienda para Prosperar)program, those interested in buying a house, would be able to obtain a subsidy of 85, 758 pesos from the Conavi, which objective is to reduce the housing deficit in the State.

Also, the services of certified advisors were available to guide and provide all the information that the interested parties require and be able to invest in a new home safely, according to their needs and budget.
