The local leader of the Mexican Chamber of Construction Industry (CMIC), Luis Eduardo Castillo Campos, said on Wednesday May 30 that the outlook for this industry in the state is good, since in this year the investment in public works amounts 3.5 billion USD, which will begin to detonate in the next months.

Within the framework of the Expo Construction Yucatan 2018, which started on May 31, the entrepreneur indicated that this event represents an opportunity for the sector to carry out networking between foreign and national entrepreneurs, who see a big potential in Yucatán.

He added that not only public but also private investment is also very important for this sector.

About the Expo Construction Yucatan 2018, Castillo Campos explained that 120 local, national and international exhibitors are participating in the event, and it is an opportunity for the members of that chamber to access the latest technologies and innovations.

“There are international companies interested in our market, and through the Expo they can come in contact with local companies, which is a great opportunity for the sector in general. We have always brought companies of  prestige, these are world known international firms,” he continued.

The business leader invited all consruction copnies in Mérida and the rest of the state to participate in the event where they can find the latest technology, tools, machinery and web apps specially designed for the construction industry.
