On Sunday May 27th, around 5 pm in Tzucacab’s Guadalupe neighborhood, members of the gang RS (Raza Suelta) attacked a young man, who was later identified as the son of Mr. Bonifacio Loeza, due to old quarrels, injuring him and causing him severe wounds to the head.
Locals said they are tired of the constant confrontations and offered themselves to support the police to stop this dangerous gang.

Almost half an hour later another confrontation took place on the corner of Calle 23 with 24 in the same neighborhood, where this time, Bonifacio Loeza himself resulted seriously wounded.
In the quarrel there were machetes, sticks and stones and Loeza had to be transferred to the nearest medical facility in order to receive medical attention.
Municipal and state police detained Mr. Isidro Pech and his son Diego Pech for their participation in the fight.
Afterwards, agents of the Grupo Dorados (SSP Yucatan special forces) arrived on site, patroled the streets and at 8:18 in the evening detained five other gang members, including the two already mentioned.
