MÉRIDA, Yucatán.- According to the general coordinator of advisors of the State Government, Eric Rubio Barthell, the Palacio de la Música is already  in the “museography” stage, which means it is in proper conditions to be inaugurated during the month of June 2018.

“The Palacio de la Música is practically ready. At this moment the museographic area is being finished, as it started immediately after the civil work in order to avoid dust issues and damage of the sophisticated technology that this museum will boast, as well as the digital systems that the enclosure will have.”

In this context, it is important to highlight that the Palacio de la Musica, will also have a “history room” that will include the pre-Hispanic, colonial, XIX and XX Centuries stages.

In the introduction room of the museographic area, visitors will find a tactile table in the shape of a guitar with which the audience will be able to interact. On the other hand, in the pavilion of traditional and indigenous music, there will be projection on a semicircled shape screen.

At the same time, The Palace of Music will have a space dedicated exclusively to Yucatecan creations as jarana and trova, where a replica of the facade of the Yucatecan Song Museum will also be housed, which will contain digital screen projections featuring the most relevant musicians and authors of the state.
