The Seventh Edition of the “Mayan Road Península Harley-Davidson“ will be held next Thursday February 15, with the participation of more that 700 national and international motorcyclists.
“We will have several activities during the day,” said Ximena Puerto, marketing director of Harley Davidson Peninsula, who pointed out that there will be two important biker ‘roundabouts‘, one in the magical town of Izamal and the other at the port of Progreso, where the attendance of more than 700 motorcyclists is expected.”A Biker Rodeo of this kind has never been seen before in the Yucatan Peninsula” she added.
‘It is important to have an event of this type, since these are only done in Central or Northern Mexico; and Yucatan could not be left behind, “explained Eduardo Sandoval, of “HOG Chapter Mérida“, a group that brings together more than 65 bikers who ride Harley Davidson motorcycles in Mérida.
‘One of the most important points we have as a Chapter is to maintain security on the road, take care all our guests who come from outside of the Peninsula, walk them through our beautiful Yucatan, so they can go back home safely on their motorcycles,’ he said.
‘We have been working on the route to make it the safest; hoping it is the most enjoyable for our visitors. Last year we finished the event safely without absolutely any sort of accidentor incident whatsoever, it is not easy to coordinate more than 500 motorcycles, but we are sure that this year’s edition will be a complete success”, Sandoval concluded.
