Huge investment deals coming to Yucatán

With an investment of almost two billion US dollars, five maquiladora industrial plants will be installed shortly in Yucatan, including one belonging to the automotive industry. Besides, nine wind farms will be starting operations as part of a project that has been in process for several months.

Governor Rolando Zapata Bello and Secretary of Economic Development, Ernesto Herrera Novelo, said that three maquiladoras will be installed in Valladolid, one in Tizimín and one more in Kanasín that would be the one of the automotive industry.

Saul Ancona Salazar, Secretary of State Tourism Promotion confirmed that the new International Convention Center of Merida has already booked 21 conventions for the next three years, with an economic spill of about 350 million pesos.

Ancona Salazar also announced that on Thursday, March 1, the new Aeroméxico Mérida – Monterrey direct flight will resume operations.
