MÉRIDA, Yucatán.- During the last days, the cold air mass that drove the Cold Front 22, favored the decrease in the minimum temperatures for the Yucatan Peninsula, which will be reinforced this week.
According to the forecasts issued by the National Water Commission, the minimum temperatures for today will be between 5.0 and 9.0 degrees Celsius (41 and 48.2 F°) in Yucatan, without disregarding slightly lower values in towns south of the state.
On the other hand, the maximum records would oscillate between 22.0 and 26.0 degrees. (between 71.6 and 78.8 F°)
Yesterday, the cold air mass favored minimum records of 7.0 to 10.0 degrees Celsius, but contemplate that this Monday and Tuesday temperatures will fall further and recommend the population to take precautions and avoid respiratory diseases, especially in the child population and the third age.
Meteorology Yucatán indicates that temperatures will be cold —between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius (50 – 59 F°) — to very cold —between 5 and 10 degrees (41 – 50F°) — in various parts of the State. Similar conditions will be presented in the three states that comprise the Yucatan Peninsula: Quintana Roo, Campeche and Yucatan.
