A 12 year-old child committed suicide hanging himself from a hammock inside his house after being scolded by his parents.
According to the investigation, the incident took place on Jan. 26 in the house located on Calle 23-J, Kanasín, Yucatan.
Around two in the afternoon the child was found by his brother hanging from the hammock inside his room. It was said that he was upset after being scolded by his parents. His relatives managed to get the child down and immediately called 911.

In a matter of minutes, municipal and paramedical agents arrived from the Ministry of Public Safety who applied CPR and were able to perceive vital signs, so they transferred the child to the IMSS clinic Ignacio García Téllez (aka T1) but unfortunately, he was officially pronounced dead minutes later.
