Mérida mayor Mauricio Vila announced as PAN’s candidate for governor

The national leadership of the PAN political party in charge of Damián Zepeda Vidales, informed that after a series of evaluations the mayor of Mérida, Mauricio Vila Dosal has been selected as the candidate to become the next Yucatan governor, in which other possible candidates like Senator Daniel Ávila agreed, former mayor Renán Barrera and representative Rosa Adriana Díaz Lizama.

The National President of the PAN, Damián Zepeda Vidales, informed that after a series of qualitative and quantitative assessments, and mainly derived from the consensus among the aspirants, Mauricio Vila Dosal, current mayor of Mérida, was chosen as the next candidate of the PAN to the government of Yucatan.

Damián Zepeda recalled that the State Council of the PAN in Yucatán ordered the National Executive Committee to begin with the preliminary work in search of the candidacy, and using the same method as in previous years, Vila was finally elected.

The PAN President informed that several party leaders decided to support Mauricio Vila Dosal as their pre-candidate for Governor of the State.
