CANCUN – Cancun, Madrid, Paris, New York and London are the five cities that Mexicans sought to vacation at this end of the year, said the administrative director of Expedia for Latin America, Carolina Piber.
In a statement, she explained that at national level, the searches included Monterrey, Mexico City, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua and Villahermosa, informs the Notimex website.
“We realized a preference for destinations like Madrid, Paris, Vancouver and Toronto, traditional destinations like New York, Miami and Las Vegas are still in the ranking, but it is interesting to see that Mexicans have been looking for new cities,” she said.
She also remarked that Mexicans usually leave their travel reservations for the last minute, however, according to an investigation led by Expedia.mx, the best time to buy a ticket for the end of the year trip is 14 and 20 days before the departure date.
She mentioned that to save some money the loyalty programs that the majority of the airlines offer are a very good option to schedule flights; meanwhile booking a flight and hotel package at travel agencies or websites is a good option because a lot of hotels and airlines give special discounts though this platform.
