MERIDA — Elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) detained a man who went to pick up a package from a delivery company located in Merida’s West side. The seized box contained a bulletproof vest, a clip and live ammunition for an AK-47 assault rifle.

As a result of a citizen complaint, elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) went in coordination with expert personnel of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) to a delivery company, located in the Ciudad Industrial neighborhood, to corroborate the complaint and carry out research work.
Therefore, the detainee and the seized ammunition were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry of the Federation (MPF) who performs the corresponding legal procedures in order to determine the legal status of the subject.
