Merida’s “Noche Blanca” is coming with more than 500 artists

The ninth edition of this program will be held on Saturday, December 2…

MERIDA – One of the most important closure events as American Capital of Culture is approaching. The “Noche Blanca” will be held next Saturday, December 2, from 8 pm to 2 am, at 65 different places around the city (galleries, parks, museums, theaters, alternative forums and restaurants), where 147 events will be held involving more of 593 artists.

Mayor Mauricio Vila Dosal recalled that the ninth cultural meeting will be one of the activities that will mark the year of the appointment of Mérida as the 2017 American Cultural Capital, which included the programming of more than 12,200 events.

“Activities such as the Merida Fest, the Olimpo Culture Season and the White Night, are already referents and are very well positioned as innovative and inclusive cultural policies,” he stressed.

On this occasion, the Dutch trumpeter Maité Hontelé will participate in Santa Ana Park; the Cuban singer Francisco Céspedes and the young Mario Bautista in the Plaza Grande, among other attractions.

Buenas noches. Gracias!
