He indicated that the works to be carried out are in the areas of Tianguis 1 and Tianguis 2 and consist in a deep cleaning with specialized machinery of all the metal curtains and ceilings, and the repair of 2,500 m2 of floor. Also the facility will be painted where necessary to offer a better image for the sellers and citizens who come to the market every day. According to information from the Markets sub-directorate, about 3 million pesos would be invested in the works.

Guibaldo Vargas stressed that in order not to affect the tenants more, the works would be carried out at night and progressed by sections until the improvements were completed.

“It is worth mentioning that there is also an immediate maintenance plan that is, when a situation is detected it is resolved in less than 24 hours, and when it comes to minor things the repair period is one to two hours at a time” explained the official.
