Merida extreme-sports park will become auto-sales outlet

MERIDA — Finally, after several years of not being used and in spite of the substantial investment that its construction required, the extreme-sports park located in Bosques del Poniente de Merida will become the site of the weekly Car “Tianguis” that was placed every Sunday next to the “Central de Abastos”.

“You pay $30 pesos and you can stay until 4pm, there are a lot of food sales, so you don’t have to go out to buy something to drink”, reported a municipal employee.

There is police surveillance, and you can find from fluorescent ink pens to label the unit for sale, to the ‘blue book’, in which sellers and buyers take a judgment to make a deal.

The change of address is because in the old location is now placed the Sistine Chapel replica.

At the “Car Tianguis” arrive people from the whole city Merida, several towns and even of neighboring states, such as Campeche and Quintana Roo.

There it is possible to find cars selling from $20, 000 pesos like an old Volkswagen Beetle, in a very good condition, to luxury vans, compact cars of 2017, with automatic transmission, with digital navigator or bluetooh system, classic vans, all-terrain units like the Jeep, and other brands.

According to the organizers, the tianguis will stay there until the end of January 2018, or possibly more time.
