Following the success of the World Travel Awards ceremony, organizers are now preparing to award the best of world golf at a ceremony that will take place from November 23 to 26 at La Manga Club Resort, in Spain.

World Golf Awards™ serves to celebrate and reward excellence in golf tourism, world-class courses and golf destinations. Golf tourism constitutes a vital segment in the global travel and tourism marketplace. The overwhelming success of the past 3 years has created much discussion in the golf tourism world, making this event grow exponentially.

This will be the fourth edition of the World Golf Awards and, just like the World Travel Awards, this competition is divided by regions.

Mexico is within the Latin American zone, where it competes for the Latin America’s Best Golf Destination 2017 against Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and Costa Rica.

Riviera Maya’s Fairmont Mayakoba, Cancun’s Moon Palace, and Cozumel’s Playa Azul, are among the finalists for Mexico’s Best Golf Hotel 2017 at the World Golf Awards.

As far as hotels are concerned, the competition is categorized by country.

Keeping in mind that from November 6 to 12, the eleventh edition of the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, the only official event of the PGA that is held outside the United States, will be held in Quintana Roo at El Camaleón golf course, designed by Golf’s legend Greg Norman, and considered one of the best courses in Latin America.

The voting process is open until October 1st, and those interested in participating can vote at: http://worldgolfawards.com/.
