Xcaret launches recruitment for 1,400 new hotel jobs

PLAYA DEL CARMEN – A new hotel at Xcaret Park will soon open its doors generating at least 1,400 new jobs, and its recruitment process began this month with the goal of consolidating the sustainable tourism in this region, and offering a great number of quality jobs.

In a statement reported by “El Diario de Yucatán“, the Xcaret Experiences Group indicated that the candidate selection process is under way and can involve people from all over the country who are living or are considering living in Playa del Carmen.

In this regard, Eduardo Martinez Ochoa, Xcaret Director of Human Resources, said: “We are looking for the most distinguished talent in Mexico in order to provide unique and unforgettable experiences to all guests, as well as those who have a great love for our country and will be proud representatives of Mexican hospitality”.

In an interview, Martinez Ochoa explained that the hiring stage will be carried out during the period of September and October for all candidates with experience in hotels.

He also indicated that the call is open for the following areas: housekeeper, food and beverage, laundry, maintenance, reception, security, recreational activities, warehouse, public areas, concierge, spa, telephony and administration, especially in operational and supervisory positions, and executive level.

The director said that the call includes people from the region and the entire country who are considering residing in Playa del Carmen and “wish to have the best work experience of their lives.”

Martínez recognized that there is a very important growth of employment opportunities in many companies in Quintana Roo and especially in the Riviera Maya. Just in this company 1,400 positions will be offered, and more in coming projects.

Meanwhile, the Hotel Xcaret Mexico will be the first in the American continent to open with the EarthCheck certification, within the category of planning and design.
