Forecasters predict that remnants of Tropical Storm Harvey, which Tuesday morning Aug. 22 was just off the coast of the Peninsula of Yucatan, will originate intense popup storms in Yucatan, Campeche and Quintana Roo, as well as Veracruz, Tabasco, Oaxaca, and Chiapas.
According to information from the National Weather Service, for this Tuesday very strong storms with intense points (75 to 150 mm) are predicted.
Throughout the Peninsula, the forecast calls for wind gusts equal or greater than 50 Km / h and waves of 1 to 2 meters in height. A cloudy sky will prevail and 80% of probability of torrential storms in Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo, as well as a warm atmosphere.
The maximum rains of the last 24 hours (in millimeters) were recorded in
Cozumel, Q. Roo, 9.4 and Progreso, Yuc., 7.2.
