RIVIERA MAYA — Summer is here, and México features a large number of nude beaches where you can leave your clothes behind. This will not only make things easier when deciding what to pack, since it can also reduce stress while you’re there.
So we made a list of Mexican nude beaches that you should visit, not just this summer, but at any time of the year.
According to Huffingtonpost portal, these are the most beautiful beaches in Mexico (not in rank order):
- Playa Sonrisa- Coastal Road, Xcalak, Quintana Roo
- Hidden Beach Resort- The Riviera Maya, in the state of Quintana Roo
- Zipolite- San Pedro Pochutla, in the state of Oaxaca
- Yerbabuena- Natural Park of the Breña and Marismas del Barbate.
- Coronado Islands – the Mexican state of Baja California.
- Punta Sereno- in the Bay of Tenacatita, in Costalegre, state of Jalisco.
- Matachén’s Bay at “La Riviera Nayarit Mexico”
- Carey Beach- Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Guerrero.
- Maruata- semi virgin beach of Michoacán
All beaches in Mexico are federal property, and nudity is not officially sanctioned; however, in practice you will find that there are many beaches where topless and nude sunbathing and swimming take place.
There are some nude and clothing optional resorts, or if you prefer, you can find remote and secluded spots where you can sunbathe and swim in your birthday suit with no one else the wiser.
Playa Sonrisa
The motto of Playa Sonrisa is “All you need is your smile.” Located on the Costa Maya, south of the Mayan Riviera, in Xcalak, Playa Sonrisa is a casual clothing-optional paradise, a good choice for couples who want to get away from it all.

Hidden Beach Resort
Located in Kantenah on the Riviera Maya, approximately one hour south of Cancun, Hidden Beach is an upscale, luxurious, all-inclusive nude resort.
Here you will find a completely uninhibited environment where guests participate in a wide range of activities with no clothes, from sunbathing to dining and dancing.
There is nude sunbathing on the beach as well as a variety of beach activities and games.
