CANCUN – On Friday, June 9 past midnight, at kilometer 23 in the Hotel Zone in front the Cancun Peninsula Tower, there were found the remains of 3 human bodies.
The bodies were found just 6 hours after a shooting registered in downtown Cancun, where one person died and four more resulted seriously injured.
When the Law Enforcement agents arrived onsite, there were found 3 suit cases and a black plastic bag, next to the mangrove road, inside which were presumably found the human remains that haven’t been identified so far.
It was alleged that one of the bodies was Daniel Pérez Badillo, nephew of Dona Letty, also known as “La 40” (The 40th), the former federal police official and current criminal leader of Cancun, but this information hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Speculations about the crime says that Pérez Badillo succeeded in fleeding from the shooting at Tulum Avenue, but later his body was found at one side of the lagoon at the Cancun Hotel Zone.
