Missing Merida chef turns up in Chetumal after ‘party with friends’

The SSP (Yucatan State Police) reported that they have located young chef Brianda Elizabeth Castillo Cupul, reported as missing.

She was found in Chetumal, Q. Roo, where she traveled of her own volition.

She reportedly went to a party with friends there and is in good condition.

Chetumal police authorities received her and gave notice to the SSP in Merida.

SSP agents left for Chetumal to bring the young woman to Merida.

Chef Brianda Elizabeth, last Sunday June 25, boarded a Uber in the center of Mérida to her home in Santa Rosa colony, after leaving her job, but the driver took her to Kanasín reportedly due to a confusion of the young woman herself, and since then her whereabouts were unknown. She was reported missing by relatives.

Before her disappearnace she worked at the Trattoria La Pasta restaurant in Merida.
