SALSA FEST CANCÚN 2017

CANCÚN.- The Institute of Culture and Arts of Benito Juárez is known for performing different events, such as dance festivals and local and national artworks presentations. This time, they are presenting ‘Salsa Fest Cancún 2017’, which is a well-known event where professor Jorge Flores will be the Salsa instructor.

On June 16th and 30th, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Parque de las Palapas,  you will enjoy dancing to Salsa Casino, Salsa Clásica and Cuban music, among others.

The event is 100% family-friendly, so entrance is completely free. If you love salsa, you can not miss this festival.

CORONA SUNSETS

TULUM.- This year, Corona Sunsets will be held in Tulum for the first time, after being held on other occasions in Playa del Carmen. The festival June 17 [this Saturday] in the Riviera Maya is a an ideal place for summer getaway. Corona’s official Facebook page announced that the tickets were on sale since May 12 through Ticketmaster.

Corona Sunsets will be performing in Tulum, and then it will move to San Pancho in Riviera Nayarit, on July 22. This popular Corona’s festival is carried out in several parts of the world like Okinawa, London, Shanghai, Dubai and Sydney, among others.

According to their webpage (image below), they will be livestreaming the music festival on their official Twitter, Facebook and YouTube accounts, on June 17, from 3 PM to 12:30 AM.

LA FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE

PLAYA DEL CARMEN.- The next performance of ‘La Fête de la Musique’ or ‘Music Festival’ in Playa del Carmen is organized by France’s consular representation in Quintana Roo, along with the private initiative.

For 2017’s version, they announced that this festival is aimed to a social cause. Thus, for the event’s artistic poster, they included gastronomic, cultural and musical attractions, which include the Mexican rock band Leon Moreno who will be the headline of the night.

The date is set for Wednesday, June 21, at the restaurant ‘Maison Pierre’, where there will be French dishes such as fondue, delicatessen and cheese, as well as wine tasting and entrées, with a fee of 120 pesos per person.

Part of the profit raised will be directly donated to support DIF de Solidaridad’s initiatives. The organizers explained that ‘La Fête de la Musique’ is a popular French festival that takes place around the world on June 21 (matching with the first day of summer), usually at night.

Currently it is celebrated in a hundred countries with multiple local concerts taking place on the solstice day.
