The exchange between the local governments of Yucatan and the region of Anhui is in a good moment. We are confident that, in the future, both regions will be consolidated as a platform for commercial, tourism and cultural development, he said.

Likewise, he said that there is confidence that the next Special Economic Zone to be established in Yucatan will strengthen the bilateral relationship between Mexico and China.

The vice-president of the Chinese-Latin American and Caribbean Friendship Association (Aachilac, for its acronym in Spanish), arrived at the meeting accompanied by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Mexico, Qiu Xiaoqi, and the Technical Minister of the National Conference of Governors (Conago, for its acronym in Spanish), Rolando García Martínez.

Speaking on the occasion, the Yucatan leader stressed that significant progress has been made in trade agreements with the relaunch of relations between the two nations, among which he cited the marketing of pork.

In particular, Zapata Bello talked about revising investment opportunities in the field of cultural tourism, specifically to share experiences on the development of attractions, entertainment and hotels around areas of high tourist influx, such as the archaeological zone of Chichén Itza.

“What we are looking for is to achieve the overnight stay of visitors, which represents an economic spill for the nearby communities and the state,” he said.

In this regard, Ma Peihua pledged to promote entrepreneurs in his country, especially in the tourism sector, to come to Yucatan to explore the possibilities of investment and linkage, where you can take advantage of the abundant cultural resources of the state.

“In China, there are 100 million people eager to go out and travel abroad; we are going to make propaganda to come to this state. Also on the subject of air conditioners, we have the best quality companies that also develop this equipment with wind and photovoltaic systems,” he said.

During the meeting, held in the Ticul Room of Hacienda Teya, the governor said that he recognizes in that nation a friend and ally to do joint things for the benefit of both nations.

In this way, Ma Peihua closed the first part of his visit to Mexico and now goes to the capital of the country, where he will hold several meetings.
