Russian victim of mob attack returned to Cancun General Hospital from jail

According to information from the Attorney General’s Office, the Russian is accused of killing a 20-year-old.

CANCUN — Aleksei Makeev, known by the media as “LordRussianNazi” and accused of homicide, reentered at dawn the General Hospital “Jesus Kumate Rodriguez”, reported the doctor Ignacio Bermúdez Meléndez, director of the hospital, because the Cancun Jail does not have the conditions to provide the medical care needed by the patient.

“We were asked to give him nursing care, but in the prison they do not have the conditions for his care,” said the doctor.

In a telephone interview, he ruled out that Makeev is injured or has suffered any aggression while he was in jail, so the patient is still recovering. “He is sleeping, quiet, without any problem,” said Bermúdez Meléndez.

The day before, agents of the Ministerial Police attached to the apprehension group completed a court order against A.V.M., a citizen of Russian origin, for the crime of qualified homicide.

In a statement, the Attorney General’s Office announced that at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, the initiation of the transfer of the prisoner to the Vice-Chancellor’s office to make a statement, regarding the incident registered on May 19, when he was a victim of an aggression from neighbors aggrieved by his behavior; in that same event Aleksei Makeev allegedly killed a 20 year old man.

The admission to the jail was at 16:50 on Monday and his departure and reentry to the General Hospital was on Monday May 29, around midnight.

According to information from the Attorney General’s Office, the alleged murderer is accused of killing a 20-year-old in an incident recorded on May 19 in supermanzana 70 in Cancún.
