Mayan glyphs explained: MEL lecture Saturday

Merida English Library’s last talk in the Saturday Lecture Series season will be a brief overview of Mayan hieroglyphs with lawyer and Mayan Archaeology specialist (and MEL Board Member) Andrea Slusser.

Slusser’s talk will provide background information on the hieroglyphs (where they are found, when they were in use, etc. ) She will explain how hieroglyphs are formed (phonetic component and logogram component) and display some basic examples of common hieroglyphs.

Free and Open to the Public, Donations Accepted
