Yucatan’s “Pottermaniacs” will be delighted with the news that on July 2, Merida will host the first convention on the Yucatan Peninsula of the famous “Harry Potter” saga.
Hacienda Chenku will open its doors at 11 a.m. for the convention called ‘MagiCon Mérida’, which is based on the world created by the writer J.K. Rowling, who 20 years ago brought to light the first of her seven books.

The convention will have sites dedicated to the preparation of potions, screening of international short films, a Muggle Quidditch exhibition, and a barter alley, where event attendees will be able to exchange collectibles and buy items related to the saga. There will also be an area where fans can interact with the famous selection hat.
