Snowstorm cancels 45 flights between U.S. and Cancun

CANCUN — On Tuesday March 14, 24 flights between Cancun and the U.S. were canceled due to “Stella,” the snowstorm that swept the American territory. Totalling Monday and Tuesday, the number of cancelled flights reached 45.

Among the canceled operations this Tuesday were United Airlines flights to and from Washington; United flights to Newark; Delta Airlines service to New York; and New York flights by American Airlines.

In the afternoon an American Airlines operation from Philadelphia (landing and takeoff) was added to the list, as well as two other Southwest Airlines operations from and to Baltimore.

Other operations from Chicago and Boston were canceled, reaching a total of 17 canceled flights on Monday.
