According to reports, a person who passed by the place discovered the lifeless body of the teenager and gave notice to the local authorities through the 9-1-1 emergency line.

Apparently there are three probable perpetrators of the homicide, who are residents of Fraccionamiento Flamboyanes, in the municipality of Progreso.

According to authorities, either robbery or gang related activities could be the possible motives of the murder.

It was mentioned that young José Eduardo’s body showed signs of burnings, so it is not ruled out that he has been tortured or that the murderer tried to destroy the evidence.
