Hyatt Hotel in Merida offers restitution of money robbed from bullfighter

“I have to thank the director of the Hyatt Regency in Mérida who has solved this unpleasant situation for everyone,” said Francisco Rivera Ordonez, with respect to the theft of which he and his team were victims and reported the afternoon of Monday, Feb. 20 in Mérida.

In a video that circulated through social networks, the bullfighter appears with the manager of the hotel chain, Richard Westell, and thanks him for “living up to the category of the hotel and its human category, which has shown me that it has”.

In the brief video, Westel accepted what happened and apologized to the matador because it is something that “almost never happens here, it was the work of someone outside. We do not yet know who he was, it is under investigation, obviously involving local authorities; But we have solved the challenge we have had. ”

Although the video does not specify how the problem was solved, it seems that the hotel returned the money to the bullfighter, which in total would amount to about $70,000 Mexican pesos.
