Former Grateful Dead musicians to be featured at inaugural event in Riviera Maya

RIVIERA MAYA — The inaugural Los Muertos Con Queso destination concert event will take place in Riviera Maya January 25 – 28. Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann and guitarist Bob Weir will play all three nights of Los Muertos Con Queso with a band featuring Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools, American Babies frontman Tom Hamilton and Dead & Company keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. The String Cheese Incident will also perform all three nights.

The Bobby/Billy band and SCI will be joined by very special guests the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, with more artists expected to be announced soon. The CRB will play one night of the event, while Los Muertos Con Queso will also feature an acoustic performance from Chris Robinson and Neal Casal.

concert-los-muertosThe Barcelo Maya Beach will be the host resort for the destination concert event. Attendees may reserve a room at the host resort or one of the other carefully selected hotels. All of the hotels/resorts, with the exception of the Rosewood, are all-inclusive. Each resort features a variety of restaurants, multiple bars and daily activities, all included in the package price for Los Muertos. Those attending can spend their days lounging by the pool or exploring the nearby towns of Tulum or Playa del Carmen. There will also be off-site adventures to be detailed later.
